OK I have an 08 4Runner and have read a bunch of threads. I don't desire to cut my bumper, and then I am getting an aftermarket hitch that puts the inlet below the stock non-trailer hitch bumper. I have constitute the Curt on eBay and am set up to make my purchase when two different versions with the aforementioned model #13445 evidence up. Ane is the Curt model with the square cross tube. Now I encounter a Curt model 13445 that also lists the manufacturer as U-Booty. What gives??? It is shown as having a circular cross tube?? It looks like a Hidden Hitch. Any help is appreciated.

Got it yesterday. $153 delivered. Information technology is a round tube that has sealed ends, not open like some other foursquare and round tube crossmembers. It took seriously 15 minutes to install. You lot tin bend the bracket for the plug in after y'all have installed the hitch. Too piece of cake, what'south next??? Toytec 2.5 front end spacers and FJ struts and springs(donated)

Curt hitch
Same affair washed, didn't want to cut the bumper so went with the curt aftermarket. Took (me) 35 min to install because I did not have the extension I needed for the bolt on the muffler then I had to practice some serious wedging to tighten. I've pulled a 17 ' runabout and my own loaded 6x10 trailer, and information technology has performed flawlessly. Biggest issue was the wire harness...where did/are you mounting yours?

For the moment I simply bent the flange on the plug to bending down so I tin can get the trailer plug continued. I plan to unbolt the recepticle from the frame, Unplug it from the harness, have information technology in to my garage and lengthen the wires. Then I will detect a better mount place for it closer tp the receiver of the hitch. Yes I volition get pictures as soon as I am done.

I but installed my Brusk hitch and love the way it looks. Those bolts effectually the exhaust were a bit of a pain, and I too aptitude the flange on the trailer plug downward. It took me about 45 minutes. The trailers I tow take the v plug wiring harness, does everyone have a link for what adaptor I need?

If you zoom in on this picture y'all volition see my Curt hitch, got information technology most 2 years ago I think? Very nice appearance, I liked it better than the Uhaul styled ones. I used etrailer for this and other items, great service and shipping....I would recommend them.

I looked at hitches a long time earlier deciding, and I am happy w/ this one. It has a very clean and nice appearance, plus there is a "picayune step" on the top function that some don't accept. It has held upwardly very well likewise!
